I knocked off another 2 pounds this week.
Today marked me hitting my 100 mile mark for the year. This is pretty darn good considering I didnt start until late Feb. I am impressed anyway. I didnt really feel like going to the track today but I told myself its 4pm that means it is time to be at the gym. So I went.
Thursday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were my days working out this week. I dont know why but I always seem to miss two days. I am hoping that even though I am on Spring Break this next week I can get at least 5-6 days of some sort of workout in.
As always my workout included miles on the track or jogging to get to the track (Tuesday), miles on the stationary bike, weights and the swoosh swoosh machine.
I have a blister on top of a blister. Oww!
I tried on a dress that I wore to a wedding a few years back (R's) and it was HUGE. I remember wearing it and thinking it was tight back then. Today I was a bit shocked at how loose it was.

things that make you go hummm
Is my scale broken? It told me that as of this morning I was down 2.6 pounds for the week. I will see if this holds true over the next week. If so then I need 6 more pounds to reach my first goal. I am hoping to reach that goal by mid-April.
On to this week. Workout days include Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Every day but today was more of the same miles on the track, miles on the bike and weights. I threw in some cross training and stair climber this week. Since I received two BL dvds in the mail yesterday evening I decided to give those a try today. And boy did they kick my butt. I have both the Cardio Max and Power Sculpt. I did an hour workout between the two dvds.
I am beginning to feel better about myself and am trying to squash all the negative talk in my head. I think wow I lost X number of pounds last year and then a stupid voice in my head says, but you are still fat and havent accomplished anything. Little by little I am trying to get rid of that and stick with the positive thinking. It is still tough at times.
I am trying to get into my next size jeans that I bought a month ago by the end of this month. I can get them over my bum, buttoned and zipped but I do not feel comfortable wearing them out and about.
It is off to the shower and then time to do some work before bed. Have a great night everyone.

soo... maybe wednesday?
Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday I worked out. Completed miles on track and bike plus weights.
Tuesday I jumped rope,did sit-ups, push-ups and lunges.
I am down another 1.4 pounds.
I know I have said it before but it has really made a difference this week to know that I will have someone to see, walk and/or talk to as I am at the track. Even if we are on opposite sides of the track there is still some sort of exercise solidarity there.

ah ha
So... I realized that since I was 6 yrs. old I have always been on a team of some sort. Baseball, Soccer, Volleyball, Swimming, Track & Field, Basketball.... during every season there was some sport or another I was playing. That is until I stopped playing. It never occurred to me when Softball was over that I would need to continue working out to stay the size I was. That may seem to a DUH to most of you but at the time it didn't occur to me. DOH. I think this is also why I have a hard time just doing lap after lap. I crave that team spirit. Those teammates cheering you on, struggling through it with you, and triumphing together. Maybe someday I will have the guts to go find myself a team to join again. For now I enjoy the time I get to spend when I see Jeri on the track.
