park-it

i really enjoyed the park yesterday so i decided to ride my bike over today along with my softball stuff attached to my back. i have a "hit-away" which is a contraption you attach to a pole and it helps you time your swings. then i played "catch" with myself on the handball courts. then i headed back to the apt. to get some water and play with the little one.

part 2 of my day i met up with jeri and amy at the track. i did 4.5 miles with them and then headed up to the fitness center for some weights and the stationary bikes. i headed home had dinner and relaxed a bit.

finally i did 50 situps and 25 pushups and played boxing, step aerobics, and strength training on the wii fit.

took a shower and now i am going to stretch and head to bed

gosh i hope i can get up for work in the morning

doah

I know I know... I said I would be better at posting on here and I havent been.

Update: I can still make my goal of 500 miles this year if I do a minimum of 2.3 miles per day between now and December 31st. I am glad I still have the possiblilty of completing this goal. I still need 100 more bike miles as well. As of right now I am trying to beat my milage from last year which was at just over 400. I am currently at 353 for this year.

I have slacked some this year but it seems that the time period of my slacking was a much shorter time from when I wasnt working out to when I started again. In my eyes that is a positive.

Anyway, I have been trying to meet up with Jeri, Amy and Ruth at the track as much as possible. It has been an adjustment with the move but I am back in the groove of things.

Again I promise to try and be more diligent about posting on here. I think it is helpful for me to not only get my thoughts out, but have a semi journal that when I look back on it in a few years will show the progress that I have made. Also it is encouraging to have people comment on my progress as well.

today i decided to explore the new neighborhood a bit and took to the streets of Norwalk. i headed towards some signs i had seen for a park. it did not take long to find the park so i checked it out and continued walking on. i completed 5 miles and i stopped at the basketball court on my way back to the apt. and did some suicides (old school) then headed on home to cook dinner for the boy sleeping on my couch and myself.

btw yesterday i made an attempt at a pull-up i honestly think it has been a good 15 years since i have been asked to do a pull up. i also tried a chin-up which i had more success with
