MS New Year's Game

Some more highs this week. I signed up for the MS walk! I am so excited to be able to feel like I can do something to support Keith, even if it is indirectly. We had family game night which was lots of fun. Paul and I began our exercise routine of walking a minimum of 2 miles a day to help get heathier this year. New Years Eve we spent more time with family playing cards for monies (I even won one of the games). Yea, for another fun week.

Cookie Family

My week was full of highs. The good kind. We had cookie decorating, Christmas with my mom for a few days, and Christmas Eve with Paul's family. Lots of time spent with family and friends. Paul and I discussed a few goals we wanted to accomplish this year which will all be incredible positives in our lives.
The big low of the week was Paul getting sick with ick. He couldn't keep anything down for almost 3 days, he dropped 7 pounds. Anytime I was taking care of him afterwards I put anti-germy stuff all over my hands up to my elbows. I didn't want to take any chances. And it was sofa city sweetheart for me.

Christmas Time

When I was in Elementary School we use to have all kinds of holiday parties. We would invite my friends and neighborhoood kids to come over for some sort of activity. This year we made T-shirts decorated with puffy paints. Pictured are Andrea San Martin and her mom Laura they were very good friends of the family.

Christmas, Cars and Cancer

High - Paul and I had fun decorating our mini Christmas Tree. My mom found a new car to her liking. And Uncle Ron had a clean scan that was checking for cancer.

Low - My mom's old car that could not be fixed, I have a lot of memories in that car. My Aunt Robin's scan for cancer showed that it is still present, however it has not grown or moved which is a positive.

I am so cute!

So, there was this one year when all I wanted for Christmas was a TRACTOR,
yes a tractor people.

My parents still don't understand what my facination is with them. When I was a kid everytime I saw a tractor I wanted to go sit on it and ride it. I was so excited when I woke up and saw that Santa had brought me my very own tractor that I could ride around the backyard. Notice that I am driving with my left hand and using the shift with my right? I still drive that way. I prefer to drive the car with only my left hand and to have my right had either laying on the gear shift or sitting on my lap. Weird huh?

In the background of this photo are my Uncle Wayne, Aunt Robin and Grandma Dougherty also note that I am in a dress, so not my choice.

Yes, it's me

I am about 4 years old in this photo and I am hugging my bear, this is no ordinary bear my grandpa Dougherty gave him to me. I love this bear. He is currently sitting above my bed with my other prized animals. When I was younger I was quite the ham when my parents were snapping picture after picture of some event like this, going to pick out our tree. I have at least 5 photos, with different facial expressions. I LOVE MY BEAR!

Happy Thanksgiving

Flasback to Thanksgiving in San Diego at my Moms.
We always hang out watch some football, the parade, and play some pool when we are at my Moms for Thanksgiving.
My Aunt Robin, Uncle Ron, Cousins Amanda/Josh and Paul. Not sure how my Mom got out of being in the photo. We had a delicious dinner and then celebrated my Aunts birthday with presents and pie.
